[sm=yikesomg.gif] That's actually kinda scary and disturbing all at once. These cars are not to be taken lightly. You can seriously hurt or kill yourself. I would seriously reccomend you not buying a supercharged Cobra for your first car. Your parents must know nothing about them!

So for a 96 CObra to be able to handle the big power I would need to just get forged pistons and rods? I am looking at throwing a blower on it eventually so want to be prepared.

There's plenty of em around Tampa... I have seen as low as stock, and as high as someone with700+rwhp... They'll lastif they're done right a little while... obviously, it's not nearly as streetable, and could probably go out at anytime, but so can a stock Terminator... you're not giving this motor the respect it deserves...

that the thread starter has plans for 700+ hp build
do you know the guy? Why would you doubt someone you dont know? If he has the money he could build whatever kind of car his pocket allowed him. So him being new to iinformation does not mean he cant or wont build something high HP.

You seem very sour or something to me, keep your doubting comments to yourself if your not going to help answer the OP questions..

03/04 motors can handle 650-700 comfortably.. 96-98 and i believethe same goes forthe 99-01 can really only handle about 450 due to that the rods/pistons are not forged. The blocks are fine, and so are the heads/cranks. Cams are ok, all depends on what your going with, but dont really ever plan on getting a big lope out of a 4v..
so i read his other post where he says its gonna be his DD... lmk when u see someone with a 700+ hp daily driver.

A terminator for your first car? that is not truely a good idea ide have to say. Do you know how many people have crashed them due to not showing them respect/lack of knowledge or experiance driving.

Ide stick to an N/A cobra for right now.

And to the _camo_snake.. I saw your still over seas and you picked up that cobra in your avatar. Congrats man! Yea, our motors can handle 450RWHP stock for a while as long as its tuned well. Otherwise, when its time to really push the motor or it dies, yes all you will need is forged rods/pistons.. i mean plus some other stuff you might want at the time, redo cams and all that other good stuff. Otherwise our crank and our block are bulletproof so your good to go as far as that.
