^1 on BELT SLIPPAGE...

Your tune and your plugs are not going to affect what your boost guage is reading. It will only affect the amount of power your making, and whether you are missing or not...

+1 belt slip.... happened alot when i had the stock pulley on there, until i put an auxillery idler on it.... (then the stock pulley didnt fit... so i put a 2.8 on there)

As far as a reflash or tune....
You can pick up a unmarried Diablo handheld and do it yourself pretty cheap...OR
your in LBZ right?? Take it to GTR in Rancho Cucamonga for the tune...

Did you say/mean that the RPMs take a while to build up, or that the boost builds slow? RPMs building slow isn't consistent with belt slippage. However, building boost slowly while your RPMs are going off the chart is consistent with slippage. Just wanted to clarify.

I still think your belt may be slipping....You'll be getting a new belt with the pulley change anyways! Maybe you should look into the auxiliary pulley as well...
