Default Push button ignition

Anyway to convert an '01 Cobra to push button ignition? Would really love to do it, but maybe it isn't possible with the immobilizer setup.

No it is when you push a button to start the car.

Hmmm...Never seen this done on our body style. I know a couple people who did it in their S197's.

That is the accessories switch. I had an old truck I converted, but that was a '79. Pretty basic. 1 toggle switch gave power to the accessories and a button turned the starter. Somehow I don't think it will be that simple in our cars. But I really want to do it. Maybe I'll go talk to a mechanic at the dealership, see what they know.

Go talk to a mechanic and a Ford Dealer that sells a lot of ford racing products because they install them on s197's all the time.

It's really not hard at all. It will still require a key though because of the PATS. Basically you'll turn the key to "On" and then push the button to start the car. It's a simple remote mount starter switch. the only issue I can foresee is what switch to use and where to put it that looks "natural" or stock.
