Default Needing clutch advise

Well its near time for a new one, and i have a few questions about it since this will be the first time its being changed. I plan to whipple/kennebell it in the very near future, should i go ahead and upgrade the clutch? or is that even necissary? Are any brands/makes better then others. I understand the saying "you get what you paid for" but im kinda trying to keep materials and install at around 800-1000 bucks if possible. I was quoted 800 from a well known local shop, and 1200 from the dealership but i believe thats with the basic stock clutch. Much thanks for any advice in advance.

Was looking around and found this, would it be overkill seeing as it says it can handle this much? the price between stage 4 and 5 is minimal. Are these decent, and what else would i need to buy with this kit. Whats the difference between 10 spline and 26 spline?

Upgrade your input shaft.. I went with the McLeod RXT Twin Disc with flywheel and the clutch actually feels lighter then stock.

if your gonna upgrade your input shaft might as well just do the output shaft at the same time....i also agree going with a twin disk i have the spec super street twin...if you cant afford that the spec 3+ is very solid too and should hold your power

If you upgrade your Input shaft, you also HAVE to upgade your output shaft.

I would go with a Spec 2+ Clutch, with aluminum flyhweel, in a 26 spline. The install for the clutch, flywheel, the parts, the input and output shaft should run around 1500 bucks or so. However, you would pretty much have a bullet proof transmission and a very strong clutch.
