My tapping is louder and faster as RPMs increase which is consistent with a bad lash adjuster(among other things). I got 12 out of 16 done today before it started raining. ALL of the lash adjusters were in bad shape. I used a flat head for most of them and a couple other tools for some because of funny angles and things in the way. Getting to everything is more difficult than actually replacing the How's which was pretty simple.The tool my buddy had was for a 2V motor

Bump - hey Boomtown, did you get your lash adjusters in and the motor back together? I'm still throwing around the idea of doing mine or maybe calling it a day and just selling it.
