95 5.0 vs 99+ 4.6
#11
Unless the guy with the new edge sucked ***** at driving there is no way a stock 5.0 is going to stay with a PI 2v. My car should have about the same whp as a stock new edge and my car would clown the OPs any day of the week. No offense OP, just stating the facts.

No offense but both stock
pi 2v 4.6 > 5.0 in performance

I have to agree with everyone, you should lost every race. Are you POSITIVE it was a 99+ 2v? This sounds more like a 96-98 npi 4.6 encounter. They are puuuurty slow, 'specially with the 2.73's under it. (No offense to your ride op, just saying )
Not being a nay-sayer though, its for sure that anything can happen out there. If anything, you beat the driver, which should be more gratifying anyways. Just don't go expecting to beat up on too many other PI 2v's, as your car sits now

Yeah, well at least the OP had fun. Our stock, 95 Mustang's are slow. I honestly can't see how he lost traction in 1st. In my basically stock 3.08 geared 95, I can screech the tires, but there is no way it will lose traction. Like everyone else said, he must have raced a NPI GT. A 14.0 second car is a big difference from a 15.0 second car, unless the other guy could not drive....at all.
