I want to run a new Coyote 5.0

yeah wont be much of a race, maybe from a dig vs a good driver you might be fairly even through the 1/4, depending on what exactly you have, id still expect you to pull up top though no matter how good he is and how bad you might be.
I agree, you need to race a bolt-on 5.0, would be closer.. stock wont be much of a race unless you have a baby cam in that not putting out much more than stock
if you have some dyno #s or 1/4 mile times/traps we might be able to figure out what a good race is for you.
doesn't seem to be any cams out yet for the 5.0 that work with the stock heads, so cant do a cammed vs cammed comparison.
o/r midpipe + cai + tires are good for around 410-430whp and high 11s at 117ish.

well for a half *** comparison my '95 ran neck and neck with a cammed/bolt on m6 6.0 goat and my car trapped 116. so i would agree with the majority that the op would beat a stock 5.0 pretty easily but a bolt on(exhaust, intake, tune) would be a damn good race if not favor the mustang.
