wouldnt surprise me one bit if suspension and drag radials could get a good driver in the lower 13's and high 12s without any power mods.

With a great driver, I could see that with good DA, and probably gears/cai/tune. And a GREAT driver. Did I mention a very good driver? Or an auto, for that matter, lol.

Right.. guess he could always do intake/tune/exhaust but I'm worried he may be coming back in a month and asking how to dip into the 11's

PLENTY of S197s have run in the 12s with minor bolt ons. Tires, suspension, CAI, tune, x-pipe.

I'm quite certain my '06 GT is a 12-second car, but I don't have the slip yet so that doesn't count. However, my car dead hooks on UPR Suspension and Goodyear F1 Supercar tires, and I've beaten a couple of 12-second cars.

Speculation... I know.

Still, browse the Mustang forums and you'll find plenty of 12-second cars with the mods I listed above.

I pulled a few 13 flats at 107-108 in my 09 GT. Had 4.10s, LCAs (thanks UPR), custom tuning, Intake, pulleys, short throw, and some axle back mufflers. Did it on street tires with a 2.0 60'. Some DRs or better air should've got her into the 12s pretty easy.

A few people have managed 12s with just a cai+tune. Good air, good track prep, great drivers, at low elevation tracks. It depends on where you run your car. Where I go hitting 12s in my 07 GT wasn't going to happen without n2o or a supercharger, ran a best of 13.5@102 (DA corrected to a 12.7@109 if i remember right) I had cai, driveshaft, 4.10 gears, LCAs, UDPS, CMDPS. then you can see im a full second faster in my 2012 GT, same track, close to the same weather, might have been 400' better.
