Hi, I am thinking of buying a used/unlocked u7140. I have a new C&L street intake kit as well. Does this tuner come with CAI tunes that will work with my C&L? Will the tune make use of the CAI's increased air flow, or what. Can I buy custom tunes for the u7140 that WILL make use of the CAI without throwing a code? Americanmuscle makes it seem like if you want a tuner to work with a CAI you need an sct sf3.... I guess i dont understand the difference.

 

I am specifically talking about this quote found on Americanmuscle:
"NOTE: The Predator is a strategy tuner designed for stock and mild bolt-on cars and can not account for modifications such as CAIs that require retunes on 2005+ Mustangs. Please purchase the Xcalibrator 3 for cars that require custom tuning".

So is this going to be a waste of money then if I get the predator? I want to FULLY utilize my new CAI.

Yes, apparently there was a miscommunication man. I sent you a PM letting you know that I needed to buy asap and to send me the paypal invoices. Sorry about that. I am buying a used tuner as well if everything goes well. You can just keep your add up and ill delete my posts, no problem.

 

The U7140 does not have C&L specific tunes on it.

The onlyway to get official C&L tunes these days is to buy the CL7140 from C&L.

There are lots of people out there that can provide you a custom tune for the C&L intake though, with excellent gains.

Predators are preloaded with tunes for several different CAIs for all 05-09 V6, GT and GT500 applications.

 

who do you recommend for a tune for the C&L?

 

Theres lots of guys....check the dealer locator for someone in your area, or hit up any of the mail order guys like tuning super store.com...
