Default gt takeoffs

right now i have magnaflow side exit pipes. so would gt takeoffs add more power or sound. what i want is a deep rumble as much as possible out of a 6-shooter.

You're better off with the magnaflows. The GT take off won't sound as good.

Keep the magnaflows. Have a shop cut out the Y-pipe and either have them run straight pipes back, or add a X-Pipe. either way, it's gonna sound better than a GT take-off..IMO

Yea, that's your whole problem, Magnaflow side kits that come off the y pipe don't offer the deep sound that a true dual set up does, don't ask me why, but they don't.

an x pipe with cats or without cats. so if i had a shop cut the y pipe and had it go straight to the mufflers that should give me more sound right. also where is the cheapest place to buy stainless tips?

Magnaflow sells good tips. Also I would go with an x pipe set up with no cats, wait a minute, I did, but anyways just makesure that the law in your state doesn't give a rats *** about smog emmissions, like here in Louisiana, because if they pull you over and you fail a mandantory test, or they notice you have no cats, well I'd hate to see what would happen. Now having no cats does offer a slightly deeper tone, but will cause you to loose a little low end torque in hp due to a lack of backpressure, but your total hp and torque rating will be about the same.

I cant imagine GT take-offs live up to their hype...i mean if you REALLY think about it stock GT's dont sound all the spectacular...so yeah as the peeps above said id just stick with the magnaflows.

take the cats off. for my 4 banger i was actually gunna run a straight pipe all the way to the back. no cats no muffler just all straight but i herd it is hard on the motor so i didnt do it. i am in process of exhaust removal with all the rot it is really hard. i will be running new pipes with no cat to a (notsure what brand) muffler to turndown.
