Nope, you didn't hook something back up.
IDK what I didnt hook bacj up then. The only things that connect to the OEM air intake on MY car was one vac line and the MAF sensor. I got that hole plugged guys, but the light is still on. Any suggestions?

Once the light is set, you either have to use a code reader to reset it, or wait til all parameters reset themselves. This can take 2-6 days depending on how much you drive it, and how fast it sees all parameters are functioning correctly.

So, if by Friday the ECU hasnt done its thing, I'm gonna have to buy a flash tuner adn reset it myself? Correct? Hey, at least the vac line is plugged up. Will that take care of my fuel consumption problem? My MPG seemed to go back to normal after the plug was put in.

when u install a cai it temporarily sets your "check engine light" on?

It shouldn't... unless you forget to hook something up correctly. I installed mine myself also and I had no engine light ever come on for me.

Kinda funny that the resident v6 GIRL had no problems installing her own CAI.

Love you guys.

Yea, or get it reset. It's a good thing to have a code reader anyway.
