Check engine light doesn't come on..but occasionally the (ABS) light comes on...bought my car used so I don't have a manual. What's that light mean exactly?
It means the ABS computer is detecting a fault in the system. Just like the ECM will store a code when your CEL comes on, the ABS computer also stores a code. You need to have the code read to find out the fault code. A normal code reader usually won't read ABS fault codes. You may need to take it to a shop that has the right reader.
