Why do you need to buy cats? I didn't. I just had them cut the Y-Pipe just after the cats.

y not just get that instead, then get any gt cat back system and itll bolt right up, IMO i wouldnt put a x pipe on a v6 its going to sound raspy, go with the h pipe for a deeper sound, plus it will all bolt up no cutting and custom welding

Actually from everything I've heard, its the opposite. H pipes dont sound tha great on V6s, but X pipes sound better. H pipes however sound better on V8s than X pipes.

OK noobs, love the new sig Harv.[sm=smiley20.gif], h pipes are louder, but can be raspy with the wrong exhaust, x pipes are more mild sounding, but hold their sound up top, which is where the h pipe can start to sound raspy. Me I went with an x, not as loud as the h, but it's more than loud enough for me, because I do not like the sound of loud sixers, it can be so pathetic at times if they go with the wrong exhaust.[&o] Any who, on to the cats, I say either get an x pipe that already has cats on it, or get an x pipe without cats, because those stock cats can, and will be, more trouble then thier worth, you know, that royal Ford problem with the check engine lights coming on because the o2 sensors are dirty. I say, go with the flow and can the cats, that's if your state doesn't check for smog, if they do, then get a pypes x pipe, that's an x pipe for a v6, the GT pipes won't bolt up, well they can, but most shops won't fight them, but any ways, get a V6 x pipe from pypes, and then get whatever GT catback exhaust you want.
