Default Help!!! New exhaust with new problems!!

So i finally got a chance for me and my dad to put on a mac h pipe and GT catback exhaust system for my 2004 v6. when we started it up it sounded like the engine had a "dead spot" then when i took it for a ride it kept stalling out and than service engine light came on. Can anyone please help with this issue!

Make sure you didn't damage, disconnect, or reroute an O2 sensor wire. If it gets close to the piping, it will burn. Check the codes. If you don't have a code reader, take it to AutoZone, or PepBoys. They will read codes ofr free.
