Default Cost to install a new underdrive pully

So, i was looking into getting a new underdrive pulley since they are only like 200 bucks including the new belt. However one of my friends told me installation could be pricy because they might have to take off the front end to put it on. First off, is this true, and how much about would you say it would cost to put this part on? OR is this somthing i could be doing myself?

Shouldnt be pricey at all. I've never done it, but I've got 2 family members with Mustangs who installed it very easily. They're gonna help with mine when it comes in.

You dont need to take off the front end. You need a special tool to take the pulleys off.

It only cost me like $65.00 to get mine installed. And NO you don't have to take off the front end. It only takes like an hour of labor time to do it. And I had 2 pulleys and the belt.

How many underdrive pulleys does an sn95 mustang have? 2?

And is a flywheel different from a pulley? When i look at the entire serpentine system of belts it looks like there are about 3 pulleys. And for flywheels, i hear you can get a good one that only takes something like 15 hp to get rotating opposed to the stock one which takesa bout 40 hp...

Anyone do this and know how long install is for one?

The underdrive pulley is a smaller replacement for the crank pulley, which is located at the lowest point of the belt and is the largest of the pulleys. There is only 1 crank pulley.

The Flywheel is what the clutch pushes up against and has nothing to do with the pulley system. You can get a lighter flywheel which can help acceleration.

I am unsure how long the flywheel install will take but the tranny will have to be dropped. The underdrive pully install is simple and shouldnt take more than an hour.
