hey guys ive been looking into getting a shift kit for my car but im not that knowledgeable about cars...yet...haha im workin on it i just wanted to know what transmition i have its a 2000 auto mustang...help is greatly appreciated i found a link on another post that might be it just wanted to make sure

I think its an AOD, but i would save for a flash tuner since it allows you to adjust the shift pressure for each gear. And you'll be able to do a lot more with a flash tuner than a shift kit.

No the AODE tranny was replaced in 96 with the 4R70W.

True, but the shift kit replaces some stock tranny parts with stronger aftermarket peices. With a shift kit the tranny will last longer.
