Default cleaning intake and throttle body

somebody was tellin me that i should take apart my CAI and wipe out the inside of it with some carb cleaner and the inside of my mass air sensor and the same with the throttle body.....is this somethin good to do or would it be a waste of time

DO NOT TOUCH THE MAF. Use it on the throttle body, try not to get it inside tho. You can do your intake it you want, but probley isnt needed.

And whatever you do, do not use CARB cleaner, it is too caustic, the inside of your tb is coated, i made the mistake, and it will actually make your car run worse. use a softer actual Throttle Body, Gunk/Solder Seal makes a nice one., But DO NOT clean the MAF. It will cost a pretty penny on that one.
