what kind of s/c, how much psi are u running, can we see some pics?
And I have a hard time believeing that someone with a s/c sixer does not know what 3.8l is, what is rwhp, and that he could only think of 1 thing to buy performance wise for $300.

the 4x4's were rated 190/250. the 2wd had the exact same engine. the ratings were lower 2wd's to satisfy insurance companies.

Wrong... The 4x4 also has a 4.3L V6 but it's the 190hp version like they put in the Blazer SUV. It is not underrated and if it was I'm sure I would have heard about it in the four years I was active on S10 forums and not years later on a Mustang site. They also made 150 hp, 160hp, 165hp 175hp and 195hp 4.3 V6 engines over the different years and models.

Yeah that picture was from when I had went up to Michigan one year for Christmas. I didn't think I was going to be able to drive back as bad as the streets were but It suprised me and drove really well even with balding tires.

Yeah well I'm afraid you're wrong and I find it very sad that you put so much work into a vehicle and you still know nothing about it.

as for the 2000 model year do you really believe that they used two differeent 4.3 ratings??? not a chance. it too expensive to mass produce 2 different models. the injector is the same,intake,T-body,cam everything is the same. there is no real difference between the 2 for power production. before 2000 yes there was 2 different outputs based on Vin code. 2000-2003 and up it was vin code W only. from there it was Vin X which was the same power output just different emissions standards
the older ones back in 94 had either a W code or an Z code. the W Vin code was the high output vortech while the Z was the non vortech 4.3 and a lower rating. they did away with that in 2000 like i said before.
