the popping noise is the oil dripping in the oil pan
That's a big old neative on that diagnosis. How do you figure that oil dripping less that 1 inch into a pan full of oil can possibly make that much noise. The noise you are actually hearing are the heat sheilds around the cats cooling off and contracting, thus making a popping sound. It's nothing to worry about, just natural expansion and contraction occuring.
not only do i notice that noise but it dosent take long for my car to leavfe puddles of condinsation on the ground.
Look undder any vehicle with a functional a/c on a warm day, they're all dripping water, it's a sign of a properly function a/c system, nothing else. This is why when you go to the track they tell you to turn off your a/c, so you won't drip water all the way down the track and cause someone with real power to crash on the next run.
I'm kinda suprised people never really knew what it was.
