will our cars still pass emission with the rear cats removed?
it probably will. if they do the OBDII test like they are supposed to, it will. for the simple reason that the rear cats are behind the O2 sensors, and they cannot read if they are there or not
as usual you are wrong.

there are O2 sensors down stream of the cats to monitor cat efficiency.

most of the time deleting the rear cats does not throw an check engine light as long as the rear O2's are still in place

in PA on 96 and up cars it will fail if the check engine light is on

the rear cats are behind the rear O2 sensors. the front ones are in the middle. just look underneath a stock system and anyone can see that i am right.

Also, let me add that, atleast in my experience lost some 7 hp and equivalent torque. Sounds pretty damn sick though. Especially wide-open echoing underneath the car.
post the slip, you are the only person who i have heard of actually loosing power from exhaust, how big is your exhaust

maybe it is a different setup on the edge and pre-98s then, cause i know the O2s are not behind the second set
