Also, let me add that, atleast in my experience lost some 7 hp and equivalent torque. Sounds pretty damn sick though. Especially wide-open echoing underneath the car.
post the slip, you are the only person who i have heard of actually loosing power from exhaust, how big is your exhaust
I dunno if you read all that correctly but it's the stock 2.5"Y pipe we're talking about here. Before the IRS swap I had stock manifold - stock Y-pipe - Mac Y-duals. 183/203 hp/tq. After the IRS swap I had stock manifold - stock Y-pipe - Open air. Dynoed again and had like 176/198. I'm not losing power from exhaust, I'm losing power from lack thereof. Also, as I understand it, losing power from lack of backpressure is pretty common.

I'm in FL on leave right now and I don't have a scanner anyway so if you really need proof that badyou'll have to wait until I get back from Afghanistan. Though I don't see how it's so hard to believe.

that coulda been loss from the irs. youve gota completely diffrent drivetrain now and it could cause a small loss in power. i dont know that for sure though. im surethe exhaust had soemthin to do w/ it. i thought my car sounded like sh*t wheni had it open air under the car after the y.

Interesting...Educate me. What's so different about the IRS that it causes a power loss to the wheels?

Edit: Ok, besides the obvious differences lol

its a bigger rear end. its 8.8 isnt it? im not positive on the size but i know its bigger. thats more rotating mass. its like when guys buy an aluminum driveshaft to gain hp. less rotating mass=more power, more rotating mass=less power. this is all rwhp too. im not sayn it IS from the irs but it is a good possibility that at least some of the power loss is from that.
