Hey everyone just wondering if you can put cuts outs on when running side exhaust? Also does it make any difference have them on both sides or is one side just as good? Thanks

 

yuck. no offense man, but i ehard a v6 that basically had cutouts (cut after the headers) and it sounded like a tractor.

 

Oh really I didnt know how they would sound was just asking about it. I just figured it would make the exhaust sound louder but not in a bad way.

 

Going open headers sounds OK at idle. But once you go over 800rpms, it sounds like a bunch of dying animals.

 

i thought about gettin the electric cutouts a while back and putting them right after the headers then running pipe from where it would usually dump around the cats and back into the system. that way if i wanted to keep it quiet..when im w/ the girlfriend or parents or somethin i can keep them closed but if i want a nice soundling loud exhaust i can just hit the button and bypass the cats.

 

u had a lot of time american idiot on that one, i like the idea tho, what are those valves really made for, if u dropped your exhaust right passed the headers whouldnt u loose power
