maybe if you or a buddy has a haynes, chilton or ford tech manual it will tell you how to install a rear bumper. i used to have a ford tech manual for my last car (contour) and it told you in detail how to take off any part you wanted.

Can't believe no one just gives somedirections instead of B.S., actually though I can believe it. Remove your trunk trim panels, remove the seven bumper cover attachment nuts inside the trunk, remove fuel overflow drain hose, remove four bumper cover screws in the wheel wells, and the five push pins along the bottom of the bumper cover.

Hopefully your replacement bumper cover includes the metal attachment bracket for the trunk mounting nuts, and the side reflectors. If it does not, you must remove yours from your existing bumper and transfer them to your replacement bumper.

I have done this mod on an '04 V6, and it's not overly difficult. Good luck.

Two hours, and I had to reomove the bracket/side markers to whichI referred. The bracket is riveted to the bumper cover, and that's why you hopefully will have one included already with the replacement cover. If not, drill out the rivets and re-install on the GT cover with (preferrably) a pop rivet tool or use small bolts and nuts.
