Default Stroke Help...

I cannot seem to find anyone that can help me with this build... i have a spare stock 97 engine and tranny... i want to stroke the engine with the crank from a f150. What year f150 should i get this from and what other parts do i need to complete this project... i dont want to spend alot at all so i need very cheap things... its just a spare engine... i need a full list of parts if you can supply them. thank you very much for your help...

go to supersixmotorsports.com and they'll have a list of everything you need. It all depends on what you consider cheap

the statement above is false, That is nowhere near what you NEED if you are talking about forged. I would think crank, tune, everything to build it back up.

yea but all i want to do is put a f150 crank in it because i read i can get the same stroke without replacing any other parts and i was wondering if this was true or not.

Nowhere did hesay anything about forged. He just wanted torun a 4.2L crank. All that info I posted is how to put together a 4.2L and make it work under a mustang hood. That is the complete list of parts you need to make it work (spoken as someone who has built many 4.2L motors for Mustangs).
