Head Tech Queston
Ok, Ive never really done any head work except for on race cars, no daily driver cars. I have a Delta Cam: 208/208 .49/.49 114
1.90/1.50 Valves, still gotta mill the heads .30. I would like to get Some roller rockers, but is 10hp worth $350? I have a double roller timing chain, but need to make a Cam nose adapter. While im at it should i get new Springs? Do they have to be just for the 3.8l or can i use other kinds? Do i need guide plates? Anything will be usefull, thanks-Dave

No one knows nothing beside mufflers and cai's?
I would say 10-20 hp is worth $350.00. Don't know if you'll need guide plates or not being new to the 3.9 myself but I would for sure replace the springs with some matched for that new cam.
A delta cam is a great mod, it's mild enough for street, but aggressiveenough for when you want to get on the car.and if you support it with a good ported an polished intake and heads, you should be able to net a nice 40 or so rwhp, the cam will add around 10-15, heads around 20-25, and the intake around 5-10
If you're porting your stock heads, you'll need to rebuild your valve train, and swaping out the timing gear isn't a bad idea either for swaping out the cam. So yes, you'll need rockers, springs, and new push rods wouldn't hurt. Now don't ask me who sells all this stuff for sixers, I would assume www.supersixmotorsports.com and or www.rpm-mustangs.com , they should have everything you need to rebuild the heads along with any other additional parts.
Don't forget the gaskets for when you swap everything out. I know it sounds dumb, but they're an easy thing to forget about until you need them, so just don't forget to buy a gasket kit in advance.
