Throttlebody
ORIGINAL: LilRoush
A TB for most appilcations is a waste of money. Port match your stock unit. Don't waste money on a larger one unless you are using a power adder or have some MAJOR head/cam/intake and an over sized valve train to move the increased amount of air.

GT TBvs the V6 TB when looking at how they relate to moving air into the motor are two different things. I put a TB on all of myV8 Mustangapplications in the past. The stock V6 TB can be port matched to the upper intake and get you equal power to any aftermarket version. Only when you start to move higher amounts of air (like forced induction) will it become a weak point. I'm not using the stcok unit anymore with mine, and I highly suggest a largerTB if you start climbing into higher performance mods.
ZZMustang - I, too, was confused by the direction you were heading with your post. You brought up comp ratio in a thread asking about a TB?

Arnt the TB and the upper intakealready matched? I coulda sworn that they already met up perfectly with eachother. Ahh, ill check on it when i work on it this weekend.
i don't quite get what you were getting at, lil. you said you put them all on your v8 applications and only when you go forced induction do they really become the bottleneck? i was saying my car was already blown and after the fact i put one on and didn't gain much of anything. the most they really do is give you better throttle response, which is nice.
