Launching RPMs?
man i dont know about that grand am GT. my roomate has one its an 02, and its got like 70000 miles on it, and my V6 has like 56000, and i beat him by half a car to 90 every time, ill get him through first andhalf of second gear. he pulls on me at the high end of second gear every time, but by the time i get to mid third at like 70 MPH i walk him all the way to 90 and his front bumper ends up at my back tire EVERY time. and i really dont have much done to my car, so they dont beat you every time. at least that has been my experience
Yeah i know its not impossible i have beat him on a rolling start at 40. i will get him almost everytime
but a rolling start at 30, nope hes got me
What all do u have done to your car

hey let some tire pressure out put your tires at like 15 to 20 psi and you will hook i have a v8 and i still hook with low tire pressure.

Yeah but you have drag radials and street radials don't work for s$#t when under inflated. keep them around 32-35 psi for the best traction.
if you've got a manual like me, rev somewhere between 3k and 4k, depending on how much damage you can afforrd your clutch to take, and then let the clutch out, as fast as possible without spinning the tires. This gives you lots of power, but you get to control how much reaches the wheels.
