Default Problem.

okay this is someone elses problem I was wondering if you guys had any clue of what it was.

"OK I was driving today and my car started down shifting and up shifting between third and second really fast, so I gave it alittle gas then it did ok for about 100 yds and then gauges went crazy, lost powersteering, and all power my gauges all read 0 and all my lights came on. Pulled over turned the car off. Restarted it started just fine checked the exhaust no coolant, water, or smoke. looked at the engine no smoke or liquid anywhere drove the rest of the night fine. Anyone got any ideas if it was just a hiccup in the system or something my cracked manifold could cause?"

Sounds like you lost electrical power, and the car died. It is possible, but kind of unheard of, that the manifold could have caused that problem.

Also, have to ask, were you low on gas? Could've been just sputtering out, and not up/down shifting

Sounds like it lost the ground some where, mayby the ecu. If you lose a ground all kinds of weird things can happen.

i agree with them, it sounds like you lost power some how. first thing i would check would be the battery termnials. its the easiest thing to check so why not start with it.
