Default Pypes Violator too low!

My 02 convertible sixer. I installed my pypes violator and a couple months later, its sitting WAY too low. Low as in 3 inches from the ground at its lowest point. Ive take then ENTIRE thing off and put it back on, (with about 3 hours work) and it still sits way too low from the x pipe all the way back to the end of the mufflers, I had to get 3 new flanges because they cracked from bottoming out, and a new mid pipe. I cant figure out why this thing is so low to the ground, or what to do to fix it! Any help / expierences appreciated.

I have a complete pypes setup. Catted X with Dual turn downs on myV6. You need to trim the (flow) tubes that run between the X and the Mufflers. I too had the same problem initially. You can either take it to a shop and have them FIT your system or you can hand cut the pipe with pipe cutters. Alignment might still be problem though since you're under the car and don't have a lot of leverage.

The problem is that those two pipes are too long which causes the exhaust to hang a bit lower since there's not enough distance between the X and the mufflers. The excess has to go somewhere and since they are angled, they have the propensity to want to push down (gravity) Shop I took it to trimmed those down by about 3-4 inches each, used stands to push the exhaust up as far up as it would go, then retightened everything up making sure everything looked good. No problems since. It's hard to get these systems put in when laying on your back under the car.

I think tomorrow I am going to cut the mid pipes by 3-4 inches, like Def00 said... That seems very logical and an easy way to fix the problem.... Thanks for the quick replies!
