I hate my flowmasters, it sounds like my stock V8. Cross, it depends on how much you have, and willing to spend on pipes, and what you looking for. Flowmaster is OK for sound, not a great idle. Borla on any mustang sounds nice. Also try asking in the 4.0 section, they will know what sounds best on your car (05+)

Yea, 05+ models cary a much different tone than 94-04s,due to the locations of the mufflers.
