I got 4.10s on my new edge six and they kick ***. Go with 4.10s if u have an auto ,u def feel that punch and its very worth it when it comes to acceleration

Stick Id suggest 3.73s but ryans mustang from here didnt make any improvment after swaping 4.10s with 3.73s . Best thing to do is to swap out to 8.8 axle and slap on some 3 55s

So an 8.8 axle will work with any type of mustang 1994-1998?

3.73's are just fine with an auto.

you can get a set in great condition used for $50from http://www.mpsautosalvage.com/produc....cfm?TypeID=85
i have used 3.73's right now
WOW! 3.73s for $50 I thought they cost like $200... I would guess 4:10s will be the same and that's what I want, so do you think getting used gears is a good idea though? Just sounds too cheap..

Not me, I am gonna go with new gears when I get my car. Sounds like the 3.55's with an 8.8 axle is gonna be my bet. I'm a manual tranny gal all the way

It looks like u have 97 v6 so id suggest u pick up some 3 73s with it . The suggestion is only for split port v6 because they make a bit more power then the single port
