new guy with a question
okay so i got a 2000 v6 with alot of miles and im really getting tired of that damn ticking exhaust manifold. I was thinking about LT's but i think i want some aftermarket shorties because of ease of installation,my question is; which one's are good? or what else should i do? thanx

meh.. i don't think LTs are really worth the price vs performance. unless you can put them in yourself.

LTs require a custom mide pipe, and the brand options for those midpipes are limited. Unless you want to change out the whole exhaust, a pair of ceramic coated shorties will get you what you need. Just make sure to put lock washers on each of the bolts to keep them from backing out and blowing header gaskets.
i was thinking about some mac ceramic coated shorties, cuz i already got a dual set-up and i dont want to have to change it all just to accomadate (sp?) some LT's. I just want to avoid spending anymore money on my crappy stock manifolds getting them taken off and welded to repair the leak. The have been welded already twice.Dropping in a set offnice aftermarket shorties sounds nicer thanhaving torepair the stock onesevery year lol
Im Debateing this Same ?
Just bought Rims Huge investment must say for me at least!!!
Now i am gonna be looking for a exhaust set up and i was wondering if i should keep short headers b/c im planing on geting v8 in future
So i think i am gonna keep stock headers get H-pipe and flow 40's with some Tips
