Default WON'T START

I have a 1994, v6, 5 speed. It was running fine and all at once while at hwy speed, started backfiring while accelerating (timing problem?). On slow acceleration it was ok.The next day it was hard to start.Itran like this about3 weeks. One morning it would not start. I pulled a plug and found a weak (red) spark. I have replaced all these with new; the Coil pack ( the old one checked ok, ignition module, plug wires, crankpick-up andpowertrain control module, new battery.
Still a weak spark.I connected a code reader. their was a code for missfiring and a 02 senser. I ran a separate groundto the coil. Battery voltage,12.1
Whenit is crankingthe voltage tothe coil pack is11.6v, the same as the battery voltage.11.6 volts
HELP!!!!!

Check the crank balancer to make sure it doesn't move around on the pulley. If it does that will throw your timing off and cause misfires.

A bad fuel pump won't make it backfire.

altinator. i dont think it will be a direct cause of backfire, but the mecahnical portions will not run proporly causing your engine to feel like its backfirined ( hell it coudl accually be backfiring) but thats my opinion

your entire description, down to the codes, the running, all the other symptoms, almost word for word, sounds exactly like what happened when my son's lumina cam shaft broke. (The Lumina is a similar sized v6)
you may continue to rule-out the simple stuff, but be ready to learn the worst.
