i bet it is the cam sychronizer, there have been multiple times this has come up here and it seems like each time it is fixed by replacing the sychronizer. here is a old thread about it..

if you took it out then you need to install it back in a certain way........
so that might be doing it for you..

Just wanted to give you guys an update. My fiance got the cam synchronizer and sensor replaced yesterday and she said the car dorve home fine without any noise. I am going to give it a couple weeks to make sure before i start doing a happy dance but it looks like that may have been the problem. Thanks again for all the help fellas.
