Default gasoline octane with tuner

ok i bought a new diablo sport tuner from americanmuscle.com and it says run 91+ octane for the tunes on it. They dont have 91 where i live its only 87 89 and 93. I was talking to my dad about diffrent octanes and he says running 93 i might have a problem with the car running hotter and harder and might **** up the internals is this true and should i worry about anything when im running 93 octane in my v6?? He works on muscle cars alot so.. thanks in advance

You should not have any problems running 93 octane, as long as the tune is done properly. Higher octane gas only means it has more resistance to pinging and will not make your engine run harder.

you will be fine with 93. you could run 93 on a stock tune and be ok, it would just be a waste of money.
