Default GT rear end swap question?

Will a rear end out of lets say a 95 GT bolt right up to a new edge without any issues?

Its an narrower.

It'll work though, but best to find one out of a 99-04.

87-98 8.8 Housings are all essentially the same, and assuming 94-98 axles, everything should bolt up normally. The only significant problem would be that each side would be .75" narrower than it would be on a stock 99-04.

Yes, it would fit "right"

Would it be worth it? Not unless you're making enough power to warrant it, OR if you can get one with gears and t-loc cheaper than installing them in your 7.5"... or some similar situation.

well, right now its a daily driver, and im getting a whine out of the rearend, idk if its my fuel pump and im just freakin out, or if its my rearend. either way this will be a track car with, if i can fit it, a big block with supercharger in it. if not then maybe either a sleeper sixx, or a 5.slow supercharged. so itll be useful later.

do the gt's have posi stock? or should i look for one with tlock and 3.73 gears at the same time?

Well, if you're going for HUGE power, then you may end up with more than just a stock-ish 8.8, but it sounds like the 8.8 is the way to go for you if you're planning to replace stuff in the 7.5 anyway. MOST 8.8's have t-loc standard (confirm this on whichever one you're looking at), and if you can find one with the gears you want already installed, obviously that's good, too.
