Default Rad help

im not too sure if this is the right section, but i have a terribly rusty/rotted radiator in my 2.3L mustang. so i went and i bought a used rad being the cheap *** i am and since it only needs to last a few years anyways. so i set it out to paint it and i noticed there where 2 metal pipes that had been cut (seen in below pictures). i unscrewed then and looked at it and compared to my current rad. mine does not have those bolt on pipes. i am assuming that because mine is a manual transmission and has none, that this one is from an automatic and that is from the cooling loop for the tranny fluid. so i assume that i can just leave it as is and itl run no prob. if this is not possible please let me know so i dont screw something up really bad. thanks
oh and i am currently painting it, and the fins have rust as you can see but they stand firm.

Also, in some cars (not necessarily yours) the auto radiators had an additional cooling row so they were more efficient. Auto parts store or radiator shop can tell you if yours has that difference. (1,2, or 3 row radiator)
