Default Exhaust question

I have decided to get new exhaust for my sixer, after looking around I seem to see 2 diffrent kinds. I don't know much about exhaust systems and I had a question. What is the proformence and sound diffrences between a Y-bolt on and a H pipe? I see that an H will have to be installed by a shop and costs more, but is it worth it? I really only use my 'stang for a daily driver and have no issues with its proformence as yet. I don't need much more power I just like the look and sound of dual. Is an H worth the money?

Default RE: Exhaust question

either one will work the y-pipe will work thru out the rpm range better than the h-pipe- which is ineffective at higher rpms

well, "worth it" is relative. hard to gauge that. to me, an h pipe is definitely "worth it". better sound, better flow, esp. when it comes time for bigger power.
