Default Transmission problem

When im driving my 2002 5spd and have it under wot and shift from first to second my shifter will pop out of second. and then again when im slowing down and shift to secong gear. my car has about 120000 miles on it and the original clutch. is it time to replace it.

With his mileage, depending on how it's been driven, I would say it's probably not a bent fork, probably a bad synchro, seems to be fairly common with the new edges. I wouldn't rule out the bent fork though, it really depends if it's been mashed into the ground with only 120K. Regardless, time to break down the tranny and found out whats going on in there. GL

Had the same problem in my old eclipse. It was the clutch cable, it was way loose and would allow the clutch to disengage slightly. Had to hold it in gear. I replaced the cable, and the problem went away.
