Default Could it be my MAF???

99' Mustang, in idol the car slighty jerks/shakes....I heard it could be a dirty MAF (mass air flow sensor) but I pulled mine out and it looked really clean and new basically, thoughts?

check your spark plug/spark plug wires. on a jeep that my buddy had it was pretty shakey when it idoled. he changed his spark plugs and wires and that took care of it. is your check engine light on?

ya thats probly what it is then. make sure all the wires are on right and that your plugs are gapped correctly. if everything looks ok and its still shakey then its probly a bad wire or something.

Example: P0402 would be a rich reading from the upstream o2 sensor on the passanger side.

The CEL code is the combination of Letter/Numbers. If his CEL is on, he has a CEL code. He can get the code read and look it up from a list of CEL codes to get an idea of what the problem may be.

While you're under the hood, check/clean/replace the idle air controller valve ... I clean mine at least once every couple years to smooth out slight idle stumbling. I'd go there before I went after the MAF.
