I went to change the front wheel bearing/hub assembly, on a '00 V6, and the hub I bought looked nothing like the hub on the car. The new one had gear like look to the back of it where as the factory one does not. Is this what the aftermarket ones look like. I took it back and they saod that is all they had, they couldn't offer any more help.

That's the ABS ring, and you don't have ABS. It's okay, it'll bolt right up and won't interfere with anything. Mine is the same way when I bought my 2 new ones.
