what the hell is this?

while im not running slicks now, i could after my engine build which should start this winter. im in the middle of my suspnsion build right now...is this something i could look into, for cheap insurance? any downsides to running one of these? i doubt there could be, since it just seems like another frame brace...

thanks in advance.

Never seen or heard of that before. I doubt you need anything like that, what engine setup are you going to be running?

planning a 4.2 build with an m112. i know everyone says that, but im doing it, step by step. im working on suspension and chassis strengthening now...since i have spen two grand on suspension parts, thought id do it all in one fell swoop, since it says this is a good idea when doing fulllength subframes and aftermarket lcas...both of which i have on the way. i also found something called an "s" box, which seems to be the bullet proof model with multiple mounting points for the control arms, which i suppose would be good if i were to be setting it up for a drag car, which im not. i researched, and a lot of people have said that one if only neceassry if you have ripped your torque boxes to shreds already, and need something to completely replace them. the battle boxes, i think, are more of an inusrance thing.

eh, if it wont affect my handling, why not do it all at once. (saying that as i turn out empty pockets). whaddya think gurus matt and ryan...good insurance mod, or will it bind me up someway?

Those are a common classic upgrade, but it might be alittle overkill on a 6er..especially with other brace mods in place..

eh, i ordered em already. figured why the hell not. i really dont know anything about them...they will not affect my handling, correct? it is simply a brace, wont bind me up or anything, correct?

It's my understanding that Sn-95's and up don't need it, we're already reinforced. The foxes were very weak chassis when it came to good power so there are tons of things for them, but since the chassis is fairly the same from 79-04, it can get confusing.

I've seen the results of flex on a few foxes, cracked floor boards, seats about to fall out and broken torque boxes, but never on anything made after 94.

you really know a lot, ryan. eh, i figure ill do all of my chassis strentghtening and suspension work in one fell swoop...then when i finally get around to my motor build, itll be ready to handle the power.

ill be re-doing the rear end, gears, and diff before then too. AUGH! never enough cash.
