Trying to make more power with smaller pullies. Or installing a blower on a motor that might not be in top shape to start with.

Driving without a tune is one of my favorites to see happen. One guy was racing his without a tune.

soooo, how about a car with 90k on the clock, a full 2.5" exhaust with LTs, and either a 25% (id do the 42 if someone other then RPM outlet has them) and a 3.10 upper?

I've got almost 110K on mine and it's going on there.

So can I ask a question without sounding retarded (even though it will to you guys) what exactly does a dyno tune, or tune do for the M112? What exactly do you have to tune and how do you do it?

Do a compression test, that's the best way to find out the life of your engine. If the compression numbers are within 10% of each other then proceed to supercharge.

As for the tune, you have to get the right air/fuel mixture correct with the added air, not too lean and not too rich. Reset the idle, part and full throttle response, MAF and fuel injectors calibrated, etc. Your tuner will edit these values on his laptop while hooked up to your car.

I know dyno tunes run from $500-700 but for a custom tune for an M112 possibly more like $900??

Tuning just makes sure all the parts are working together correctly. Mostly, it's making sure the amount of fuel matches the amount of air at any given RPM. A dyno tune is a dyno tune.... no matter what changes you make. It's usually a flat rate per hour - depending on the shop.

What they will do it montier the Air / Fuel ratio, and then adjust timing and fuel to make sure the spark, air and fuel spray are all happening at the right intervals.
