Default Intake Plenum

Ok, I have a 94 convertible with the 3.8, and i have looked up on numerous sites that in 96 the PCM was upgraded and gave the 3.8 an extra 5 horsepower to about 150, then in 99 the 3.8 recieved the split port induction, doing this brought the horsepower up to 190. I was wondering if i would be able to put the split port induction on my mustang? Just a few mods for the car, and i have a donor car out at a junk yard that i can grab it off of, before doing so i wanted to get some input. Will the PCM that i have in my car not accpet the newer intake and throw codes at me left and right or is it a generally easy mod?

I believe you need to have the 99 PCM to do a slit port swap. Use the seach funtion here because this is a topic brought up alot and there is some good info already posted. After reading all that stuff if you still have more questions then come back and ask them.
