so for this scoop i should just bring it to the shop im gonna get it painted at and have them do everything and i'll just handle the installation? and what adhesive should i use cuz i want to be sure this thing wont fly off when i hit 100+
Not sure about prepping but use some STRONG double sided tape, I would never trust a tape on hoodscoop. My buddies louver just flew off on the highway after 2+ years...
Try to find someone selling a used GT hood scoop do not trust the 3m tape to hold a hood scoop down. When you find a GT hood scoop let a shop paint it for you. I got a hood scoop used(paid under $130 for it with shipping) then painted and installed(used the factory bolts and 3m tape just to) for $50.

would tape be fine for rear louvers you think? and i was thinking about taping my scoop on and then using some of that liquid nail stuff to keep it there permanent?

After hearing the other dudes louver blew off on the highway,
i would tape,glue and bolt that **** down.
