Default belts squeek

my belts squeek when i am racing and shift into 3, 4, and 5th. can anyone tell me if i need new belts or just need to tighten something

You aren't racing with the A/C on are you? If your belt has quite a few cracks on the ribs, then it would be a good idea to replace it. The belt being loose wouldn't cause it to squeal. You might have a messed up idler pulley or tensioner. What year is your car?

alright i appreciate it man, the squeeking only happens when i shift and its only for a second, so im gonna check my pullies
