Exclamation Drivers Window Auto-Down Feature

Ok I just replaced my two window motors and tested them both to make sure they worked before I put the panels back on. That went fine. After getting everything put back together the drivers side window rolled up but wont roll back down now and all I hear is a clicking coming from the relay box inside the door panel. Well i replace this with a new one and it does the same thing and pops that relay too. I read that its the auto down feature that that box controls and I also read you can bypass that feature somehow. I dont care if my windows have auto roll down I just want to be able to roll my drivers side window down. Passenger window works great by the way.

Not sure what you mean by "pops" the relay. Are you referring tor the circuit breaker in the fuse panel?

But I would suggest removing the door panel and looking for an obstruction in the windows path. I'm thinking something is physically preventing the window from coming down. Hard to conceive that something failed at that precise moment. Could be a wire is being pinched when the panel is on.

Bypassing the auto down is fairly simple. At least based on the wiring diagram. All that would be needed would be to disconnect the one touch down power window module.

Then there should be a white with black tracer wire coming from the switch panel. You would connect it directly to the red wire at the motor. Seal the removed connector in electrical tape as it will have 12v on 1 pin all the time and 3 others some of the time.

Im pretty sure he means he hears a clicking noise coming from the module in the driver side door panel but nothing else happens. This is the same problem i am having ATM.

This is most likely from your power window motor/regulator. I recently fixed mine. In the picture, if you take off the metal plate around the cog that I have a red arrow pointing to, there is a white gear underneath and it could be cracked. If it is cracked or broken then the cog slips and won't grab the teeth correctly on the window regulator. Be careful if you do decide to take your window apart, as there is a coil that is spring loaded and the long arm will swing with force when you remove the 3 black bolts. I was lucky enough and moved my hand out of the way before losing a finger (I still got a semi-deep cut).

The window was badly designed and the guides are glued to the window, not riveted like they should be to ensure strength. The guides most likely have slid off the window (they can still be on but if they have slid down some then it will still mess the window up) and this creates pressure on parts that shouldnt have been receiving that pressure, thus breaking them.
