It's not as much the clutch that you need to worry about as it is the transmission. But with that said, drive train parts are measured by torque capacity, not horse power and are rated to approx 80% their full load such as to allow playroom before potential failure. Pretty much all stock V6 mustang clutches, stock or after market, in a "stage 1" application are rated between 250-300 torque, with the median being 275. The transmission, however, is only rated to around 250 torque.
