Default My Mustang sounds like a B****!!

1999, Automatic V6. Everything under the hood is all stock.. I want my car to sound a little beefier. I'm not talking about dumping 500$ in parts/labor into it to make it sound amazing. But I mean put a little roar and mean into it. I heard from a friend to throw in a Cherry bomb exhaust and muffler. Does anyone know how much that goes for? Or how much labor costs are on putting in a new Cherry bomb muffler/Exhaust costs?

Thanks!!

$500 isn't a lot of money. Sorry to burst your bubble, but even a cheap catback is going to be around $300ish.

Don't just put a cherry bomb on there. It'll sound like a fart can Honda. You're not gonna get a decent sound out of a V6 without spending a good bit of money.

Find a stock GT catback and put in a weld in dual exhaust H-pipe.

That should keep you under $300.

Thats what I have on my 2000, and it has a nice mellow purr. These will never sound mean like a big block, trying to make them loud just makes them sound ricey inho.
I got a little increase in power and mileage by adding dual exhaust.

Local owned muffler shop made a "Y" pipe and thus created "duals" with cheap turbo mufflers for $180 complete. Not loud at all. Nice purr out the back....

A friend of mine said I could buy 2 flowmasters, and get them "dumped in" I believe that's when they just cut the pipes or something. And it should come to around 160-200$ with the 2 flowmasters + labor. Howe would that sound?
