Default steering issue?

hi i have a 2004 mustang v6 and recently when the car warms up i seem to have a steering issue... it isnt harder to steer or anything but, it sounds and feels like there is something rubbing... i figured it might be the pump since when it was replaced when i got it the dealership used a cheap rebuilt one... it wasnt even the original color it looked painted. but before the car warms up it doesnt have the issue... it also seems to only happen in the dead heat of the day... does anyone know what might be causing this? i want to fix it... also i know i need an alignment but if it was because of an alignment than it would be always rubbing or making the sound. any suggestions?
